Highly intense emotions may work to boost teams in the short term, but they are physiologically and psychologically taxing over time.
Our heart rate increases, sweat glands activate, and we startle easily (which happens in burnout too).

In an attempt to counter this, we need our caffeine and sugar to jolt us and delay weariness.
Enthusiasm and excitement feel very dynamic and powerful. So, give all your vitality to your projects or celebrations, but offer time to rest and renew for health and wellness.
Developing awareness of the magnitude of your positive and negative emotions, as well as the effects on your body and mind, can help you to try and regulate more to preserve your resilience and wellbeing.
